New Construction Homes in Overland Park, KS

Building in the Second-Largest City in Kansas

Overland Park is the second-largest city in Kansas, with 197,238 residents in the 2020 census, and it’s still adding new homes. Blue Sky Homes is a new home builder in Overland Park, KS, and we build new construction only: a custom home on a lot you already own, or one of our proven floor plans adjusted to fit it.

Much of the city’s newer residential growth has come in south Overland Park, below I-435. Wherever your lot is, building new lets you plan the layout, storage, and finishes around your family instead of working around someone else’s choices.

If you own a lot here or are shopping for one, start with a conversation. We’ll look at the land, talk through which plan fits, and explain how the build will run.

Building on Your Overland Park Lot

Overland Park lots come in every shape, from a lot in a newer south-side subdivision to a single lot in an established neighborhood. Either way, we start with the site: setbacks, slope, drainage, and how the home and garage will sit next to the homes around it. If you’re still looking for land, we’ll walk lots with you and talk through what each one would take to build on.

Our floor plans give you a head start. The Dove is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath ranch of about 1,747 sq ft, one of our Nest Series plans along with the Clover. The Avalon is a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath two-story of about 2,648 sq ft, one of our Grove Series plans along with the Robin. Any plan can be adjusted to your lot, and as a custom home builder in Overland Park, we can also design from scratch.

Each part of your home is built by a specialized subcontractor working from a written scope of work, and we coordinate all of them, so you deal with one team from start to finish.
